At LKQ UK and Ireland, all essential steps towards innovation are based on digital platforms. They are key to customer experience, efficiency and accessibility nationwide – as well as the participation of all LKQ UK and Ireland’s employees towards company goals. This includes our Omnipart website which has allowed garages to convert a largely manual process of parts ordering to online, as well as the adoption of Garage Management Systems (GMS) – such as LKQ’s CarSys – that not only improves productivity and ease admin burdens, but helps win and keep customers too.

Another digital platform is the LKQ Academy. This is a unique nationwide online and offline training program in the automotive aftermarket and workshop sector. The LKQ Academy helps all LKQ UK and Ireland customers to stay up to date with the latest technical developments in automotive maintenance and service and prepares workshops for the future.
To always guarantee its customers the fastest and most efficient delivery, and to ensure the availability of its products, LKQ UK and Ireland is continuously focusing on automating and optimising elements of the logistics process. To achieve this the business has partnered with fleet technology company Microlise for its electronic proof of delivery (EPOD) software, resulting in greater data capacity and capability and allowing 55,000 orders per day off peak. LKQ UK and Ireland is also exploring ways to optimise its last mile delivery feet such as replacing its motorbikes with e-scooters and cargo bikes.
