After joining LKQ UK and Ireland back in 2003 as a specialist sales adviser, Tony Shearer has worked his way up through many roles in sales, logistics and operations before ultimately becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2024.

Tony’s career progression in the business is a fantastic story of what can be achieved, if you have the values and ambition, the desire to learn and drive to make a real difference.

As COO, Tony is responsible for the logistics and supply chain operation, as well as the Commercial Operations team. 

He is passionate about supporting the charities LKQ UK and Ireland is linked to, and even became a joint winner of Ben Support for Life’s Race Across Britain in 2024 which raised £100,000. His team, which included LKQ UK and Ireland’s Chief Commercial Officer Andy Southby, shared first place with LKQ Bodyshop’s Managing Director, Christopher O’Rourke, and LKQ Europe’s Finance Director, Melanie Lowe. 

Having been with the business for many years, it's been truly incredible to see how LKQ UK and Ireland has grown into the market leader it is today. Our aim has always been to deliver the best customer service possible and pioneer the latest innovations to operate at a level to do so.
